ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY REPORT 2014-15
Department of Economics organised an Economics Festival ARTHARCK
On 4TH and 5TH December 2014 in New VIVA College. Inaugurated by Ms.Rakhi Oza
On 4th Dec we organised 1min game and Debate competition.
1 Minute Game: In 1 min game 85 students were registered which included student from BA, B.Com, BMM, IT, BAF, BFM faculty. It was found that students pro-actively participated in the 1 minute game. 1 minute game consisted of a limit of 60 sec. i.e. 1minute to answer.
Debate Competition – There was 28 student's registration that was divided into 7 teams, where 2 teams had to debate on one topic. Where 1st team spoke on positive side and another on negative.
Debate topic were as follows
1) Online Shopping
2) Inflation
3) MNCs
On 5th December department organised Quiz competition and Jingle making competition.
Quiz Competition – Quiz competition consisted of
1st Round - Elimination Round
2nd Round –Identify the Logo.
3rd Round – Rapid Fire Round
Best five teams were selected from the elimination round, who further continued with 2nd and 3rd round each team had 2 members. Participation included students from BMS, IF, BFM, BA, BAF, in which the winners were announced as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and consolation.
JINGLE MAKING – Jingle making means visual making of Add of some product on Drawing paper. Students were first explained what jingle making is ,what all should be included in the Add making by MS Aradhana Joshi.
In this many students came up with new ideas.Students participated in Jingle making included students from BA, BMM, and BSSSSFM Faculty.

1. A career guidance lecture was held on 6th Feb 2013 By Mahesh Bhagwat(Mithibai College Vile parle), He guided our Students for their bright Future and How to build up their career.
2. Guidance lectures for TYBA Economics students was held on 5th Feb 2015 by Dr.M.Satyasri(S.N.College Bhayander).
3. Interdepartmental level - Prof.Rakhi Oza(Commerce HOD) gave Lecture on Principlesp of Management for TYBA Students.
