Viva College has provided counseling facility for college students and its teaching as well as non-teaching staff. Counselor Mrs Manisha Dewarde is available in old college on every Tuesday between 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Students were informed regarding the counselling facility at the beginning of the year via Notice which was displayed on notice board as well as was read out in their classes. This counselling service is to help students in their various issues like studies, career as well as for their any personal issues. Those students who want to take this facility have to give their names in the counselling register kept in our college library. The students are only to give their name and contact information in this register and need not to mention their problems here but they may disclose the same to the counselor only. Whatever discussion the student and counsellor is kept confidential and not disclosed to anyone. The counsellor then gives them appointment schedule on student’s contact details after receiving list of those students’ who want to meet counsellor. Counselling sessions are taken on a one to one basis or sometimes in group as per the need. Seminar is also arranged for the students for their personality development. There is a counselling committee also which coordinates between counsellor and students.
